Bob Whitt is the Founder of Building On Collaboration. He is a High-level expert with deep experience in city and regional development across public and nonprofit sectors relating the collaboration of Law Enforcement and Communities Through Racial Reconciliation, as a convener and strategist. He is a graduate of Judson University (Leadership and Management degree) and has served over 30 years in culture diversity and social truth and justice.

He is an accomplished transformational leader and served as the Executive Director of Riverwoods Christian Center working with individuals and families from low-income areas. He was the Founder and Pastor of Family Life Church for 20 years and have had successes focusing on creating new initiatives and driving change that brings harmony and trust between law enforcement and diverse cities. He has spoken all over in the Midwest region.

Bob’s life experiences have put him at level of being an expert in areas of culture diversity and bringing together city-wide community leaders and police in a cooperative effort that promotes integrity, trust, and relationship building in working with law enforcement to address issues in a collaborative and reciprocal way that exhibits a long-term impact of successful change. He has the ability that very few have ever done in bringing the police and community leaders together to talk about trust, transparency and change both in police departments and cities.

Bob’s current position as the community engagement specialist at the Elgin Police Department provides him an opportunity to teach other police departments and communities the initiative called, The Culture of Honor.

Bob mentors and counsels both men and women in areas as a life coach. He does speaking engagements in public, not-for-profit sectors and churches.

He is an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers, Judson University Spiritual Council, Alignment Collaborative for Education, and is an active member of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.

Bob is married to his wonderful wife for over 30 years. They have a son who is married to Dino’s oldest daughter and is a proud grandpa.
